Passionately Loving God,  Genuinely Loving People

Our Vision and Calling

Since Pine Valley Church was founded, in 1996, our deepest desire has been to be the kind of church the Bible describes – a church of relevant teaching, intimate worship, loving friendships, and sincere care for those in need.  In short, our desire is to have the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage our community and our world. Our Call at Pine Valley Church is to love God, and to magnify Him in all things.   To love others into His kingdom, and make disciples of them.

Our Vision is to:

   1. Know God.

“[I pray]…that you may know Him better [personally].” Eph 1:17

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.  Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you.’”  Matthew 7:21-23 NIV

   2. Find Freedom.

“[I pray]…that the eyes of your heart be enlightened [focused and clear].”  Ephesians 1:17-18 NIV

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.”  James 5:16 NIV

   3. Discover Purpose.

“[I pray]…that you may know the hope to which he has called you.”  Ephesians 1:17-18 NIV

“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.”  Romans 12:6 NIV

“All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.”  1 Corinthians 12:27NLT

   4.Make A Difference.

“[I pray]…“that you may grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers [in his holy people].”  Ephesians 1:17-18 NIV

“This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”  John 15:8, 11 NIV

“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” 1 Peter 4:10 NLT

What We Believe:

About The Scriptures

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God. We Believe the Bible is our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine.

About God

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus is a member of that Trinity, the Son. We believe Jesus came to Earth, became flesh as a man, to become the Savior of the world.

About Mankind

We believe that Adam and Eve, the precursors of the entire human race, were created in the image of God; however, they disobeyed God and became sinners. Through Adam, all people inherited sin’s nature and consequences, and all are in need of a Redeemer (Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12, 19).We believe that man was created by God in the image of God to have fellowship with Him. We believe that fellowship with God was broken through mans sinful disobedience. We believe man is incapable of restoring that fellowship with God by his own effort.

About Salvation

We believe that when Jesus Christ died on the cross, His blood provides the only means for the forgiveness of sins. We believe salvation only occurs when a person places their faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus, and that is the only sufficient payment for sin.We believe a person who physically dies, in his sins,.without Jesus Christ is eternally lost from fellowship with God, and therefore, has no further opportunity of repenting.  (John 3:16; Isaiah 53:5; Titus 2:14)

The New Birth

We believe that the change that takes place in people when they are “born again” is very real. They receive righteousness through Jesus Christ, and they are empowered by the Holy Spirit; therefore, they should have new desires, interests and pursuits (John 3:3; 2 Corinthians 5:17).

About The Church

We believe the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the Head.
