New Year’s Eve Bash (Rescheduled)

December’s ENCOUNTER Night Series event had to be rescheduled because of poor weather on New Year’s Eve. Thanks for understanding! We are now hosting the event on Friday, January 6th.

The rescheduled event has an overnight option — we will release students at 1:00 AM for those that want to go home, but for those that want to keep the party going all night, we’ll have activities planned through 6:00 AM!

This event will feature three brand new challenges/activities — invented by Pastor David — never before played on the face of this earth!

We prefer that students only leave at the 2 designated times (1:00 AM and 6:00 AM). If a student leaves the building during the event, re-entry will not be permitted for safety reasons.

Students will be expected to be with the group and/or in designated female/male rooms for napping, as needed. No PDA allowed (or napping with members of opposite sex).

The event is going to be a New Year’s Eve Bash featuring food, fun, crazy activities and challenges, a full-band with high energy worship, dancing and a time of seeking after God’s heart as He speaks into our New Year. It’s going to be grand!

This event is for students currently in 6th through 12 grades only.

IMPORTANT EVENT DETAILS:

First, thanks for your understanding with our canceling the event on New Year’s Eve. We know that letting teens stay out late on New Year’s is hard for some parents and after a few phone calls expressing concern about the weather, we decided that the best thing to do was play it safe.

To make it up, our rescheduled event this Friday night, January 6th, now has an all-night option for those that want to stick around. The original programming we had set for the New Year’s Eve Bash will happen as originally planned — with giveaways, a midnight countdown, a full band and all! — from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. up in the youth room. For those that do not want to stick around all night, 12:45 to 1:00 a.m. will be the appropriate time to get picked up or head home.

For those that plan to stay all night, at 1:00 a.m. we will be transitioning out of the youth room and to the gym for the rest of the evening. Separate, adult-monitored rooms will be made available for girls and guys as “nap rooms”, as needed, for rest during the night. Students are encouraged to bring sleeping bags, pillows and/or blankets, if they desire — to be used only in these specified rooms. There will be amazingly fun programming happening all night long, so the napping rooms are being made available only as needed.

A FEW IMPORTANT GROUND RULES:

1) Release forms and $10 payment are required. You can register online here or have a parent/guardian sign a paper form upon arrival. We will have a receptionist checking people in and giving out tickets for door prizes upon arrival.

2) Students will not be allowed to leave and re-enter the property. The perimeter doors will be locked after registration time is closed.

3) No PDA (public displays of affection). This is a general rule at all our gatherings but will be especially important at the lock-in. No “resting” in the arms of another student. No kissing, romantic posturing, etc. None of that! Thank you very much 🙂

4) Students must be with the group at all times. Everyone will be in the youth room from the 9:00 to 1:00 a.m. time frame and in the gym or designated napping rooms from 1:00 until 6:00 a.m. Students may not wander off alone and unsupervised. Doing so will require your immediate removal and/or pickup from the event.

These ground rules are set in place to keep a safe environment for everyone. We look forward to seeing you and your friends — it’s going to be a blast!

Pre-registration and payment is now due by Wednesday, January 4th, is required. Registration is online and easy! You can also pick up paper forms at the church. The event cost is $10; upon the purchase of your ticket and registration (paper or online), you will be given a ticket with a raffle number on the back for door prizes — including the big ticket item of the night, a 32GB iPad Mini!
