The world tries so many different things to bring peace, but even its greatest efforts are temporary. Jesus came to give us lasting peace in a world full of chaos. Operation Christmas Child

Share the love of Jesus in a practical way. Operation Christmas Child boxes are available in the foyer. You may pick up as many boxes as you wish during this time and return them to the foyer when they are filled. Sorry, no candy or toothpaste this year. ALL BOXES must be returned, with a completed informational brochure (inside each box), by the pick-up date, Sunday, November 19. Contact Carolyn Striker at 382-0162 for more info.

Special Holiday Service Times

As you prepare for the holidays, please make note of our adjusted Christmas Day and New Year’s Day service times: we will start at 10:00 a.m. both weekends and there will be no Sunday School classes or Growth Tracks. Our Christmas Eve Service will be on Saturday, December 24th at 5:30 p.m.

Food Offering and Christmas Box Assembly

Christmas Choir

High school age and above are invited to join our Christmas Choir led by Pastor Lisa Prothero. Practices are being held every Sunday and Tuesday, in Lisa’s office, at 6:30 p.m. with the following exceptions: The first week of December, practice is on December 5th instead of December 6th. There will be NO practice on Sunday, December 11. Two additional practices: Saturday, December 10, at 9 a.m. and Thursday, December 22, at 6:30 p.m.

Salvation Army Bell Ringers Needed

Volunteers from throughout the community will be standing by red collection kettles and ringing the bells in front of The Grocery Store during the Christmas season. Pine Valley Church will be participating 12/7 thru 12/20. All monies collected will be distributed by the Salvation Army as emergency assistance to residents in La Plata County.
