Our Story

Pine Valley Church was founded by Pastors Bob and Eleanor Kujath along with about 70 people in Pine River Valley’s bank lobby.  After pastoring for over 18 years in Durango, and being out of ministry for 14 years, God called Bob and Eleanor back to southwest Colorado and they started Pine Valley Church in October of 1996.

It grew quickly and in 2000, we dedicated our current facility to the Lord. In 2001 Pastor Scott and Carrie Kujath joined the staff and took over as pastors of the church. We added much needed kids’ classrooms and a youth room in 2005 and have continued to be amazed at how God is using this church family to impact our community for Jesus Christ.

From our ministries that include our Wednesday After School Program, to building our small groups, youth and kids programs, to our global outreach and missions giving, we are in awe of how God is expanding His Kingdom.  We have always desired to be a church that is impacting our community by Passionately Loving God and Genuinely Loving People.

Pine Valley Heritage Event Center:
God has given us a dream of building an indoor event center.  The purpose is 1) To bring people closer to Jesus by experiencing God’s presence in a non-traditional way. 2) Pass the community’s western heritage from generation to generation. 3) Bless the community through the creation of a local event center. 4) Help fund different ministry projects around the world through hosting events.

We are currently in the fund raising stage for the event center.  We believe that God has asked us to build this debt free.  If you would like to know more information or would like to contribute, please visit the link below or call the church office.
